there are many, many loud planes flying outside my office window. apparently they used to shoot down market street and buzz the financial district some time ago. good thing the fighter jets are just doing rehearsals for fleet week. we'll be out watching the planes in the real show tomorrow at municipal pier.

hawaii was great :) despite my guilt for taking a second vacation this year (gasp...or was it a third?) we all had a terrific time enjoying one week of bliss in sunny hawaii. no internet, but a full kitchen and cable tv in our posh digs, which was a big time suck as we don't have cable in our apartment in SF. notice our nice dark tans, a big change from the pale LCD-induced palors we all usually have. lots of swimming, snorkeling, yoga, and running.

it's been a rough couple of weeks trying to get back into work after being in paradise.
