beach was fun yesterday, read a book under the sun for a while and walked around in the waves. very funny realizing that the stereotype is so true - there were so many leather-skinned older retired (?) couples there, not much of any one else at the ft. lauderdale beach. didn't go today because had lotsa errands to run, appointments with various doctors, etc. that i should have taken care of while still in cali but was too busy with finals and whatnot.

the end of survivor: thailand was tonight. i haven't watched any of it but the same scheming and drama and backstabbing is the same as all the other ones. tends to bring out the best in people i guess. i would be so embarrassed to be almost any one on that show because your character flaws are aired on national television so people from san francisco to rural maine to i-don't-know-where-else-in-the-world can laugh at your shortcomings or remark in unison, "man, that guy's an a$$!" i'm stuck watching quality programming like this now that we don't have cable...that's another interesting story. gotta love TV.
