happy belated thanksgiving! hope you got to eat lotsa turkey and whatnot...i got my fill for sure. gotta love pumpkin pie too, that's always key.

of course, you also have to appreciate the black friday sales. (black friday is the day after thanksgiving, no idea how it got its name, but that's not that important.) my mom used to try to get me to wake up at the crack of dawn to make the doorbusters at the mall. um, yeah, that's an impossible task after all the tryptophan from thanksgiving dinner kicks in, not to mention the mental 'duh' that comes from watching movie marathons and football games galore.

but back to the story. this morning i got up at 6:30 am to try to make it to best buy. don't ask me why, i thought it might be worth it to go JUST ONCE and see what the biggest shopping day of the year is all about. well, i drove alll the way out to the store, found a far far away parking spot, and was thrilled to walk in and find out that the two items that i really wanted were still in stock. then, cd and jump drive in hand, i headed to the checkout line, only to find out that it didn't even start in the cd section right in front of the registers. no...it stretched through the store, all the way to the back boonies, snaked around appliances, and into the home theatre section. grrr. guaranteed 45 min - 1 hr wait. just to save maybe $20.

not worth it. instead, i decided to go home and back to bed. later i found out that you could have gotten the same deals for best buy and office whatever you're looking for online. no wait either. i will probably never go shopping on black friday ever again. or at least to try to make the early bird specials...sleeping is just too precious.
