oh sunny day

this week is the beginning of the rainy season in SF. we have basically two seasons here - rainy and sunny. if you want snow, head to tahoe, and if you want to see the fall colors, well, fly to NYC. i have horrible memories of the rainy season as i biked to class every day at stanford and got my butt and back and books and everything else soaked. and once you get to class, you get to sit down in your wet clothing which conveniently dries right before you leave...and get wet and muddy again. argh. fortunately, so far the muni commute to work hasn't been too bad, just gotta try not to slide down the bus when the floor's wet. after all of this blah weather i was thinking about not even bothering to come in to work today and working from home instead, but today is THE ONE SUNNY DAY THIS WEEK. so gotta get out there and enjoy it.

did you see the game last night?!? that was terrific! yay sox! that was one helluva comeback, and it was fun to watch damon shoot those balls over the wall. i wasn't really rooting for anyone when i started watching in game 5, but those sox are really inspirational :)
